Preschool Hoots from our Early Childhood Classroom

Our district has a dynamite early childhood program, and our school is lucky to have a full day pre-school.  The class comes in once a week for an art lesson! Our first project together were these furry friends. (I do like owls...) Look at how great they are! We looked at pictures of owls in a book... then off to create...

First, they decorated the bodies. They tore pieces of paper and glued them on.

Second, they used pre-cut round heads, circle eyes, diamond beaks and V-shaped masks.

Last, we got out some feathers and markers for them to make their marks! I love how they are Abstract, colorful and lots of personality!
