Today we were breaking one of our clay rules... if it falls on the floor, pick it up... instead, we stepped on it and made "Sneaker Charms". This project was inspired by a pin seen on Pinterest and found on Mrs. Knights' Smartest Artist Blog... the Kindergarten and 1st graders loved this. It was quick, easy and a lot of fun. They found texture on the bottom of their shoes! We used air dry clay and will use an acrylic glazing medium.
We used different shaped cutters for different charms. The children were given the option to create pins, pendants, or ornaments. Either way, they were very successful with the outcome. |
