Little Fingers... Lots of creativity! Pinch Pots, Kindergarten Style!

I am a Potter.

A pot is made out of clay.
Clay comes from the earth.
I made a pinch pot.
I first created a sphere.
Then I put my thumb in the middle of it.
Then I pinched it into shape.
Then Mrs. Lynn let it dry and fired it in the kiln.
Then I glazed it.
I created a design with the different colors.
Then Mrs. Lynn fired it in the kiln, again.
Here is my fired pinch pot!

Fall Trees with Preschool

Our Early Childhood classes come in once a week to the art studio!
Students were given brown paper and they were to draw texture and shade the paper for tree trunks. They glued the trunks on and then created leaves by stamping cardboard tubes with yellow, red and orange tempera.

They did a great job!
